Sustainability Criteria

Businesses must meet the core criteria below to be listed. Recommended practices improve visibility and may qualify you for our “Verified Green” badge.

🟢 Core Criteria (Required)

✔️ Check all to be eligible:

  •  Transparency
▸ Sustainability claims are clear, specific, and verifiable (not vague terms like “eco” or “green” without explanation)
  • Sustainable Offering
▸ Products or services reduce environmental impact in at least one of these ways:
    •  Waste reduction (e.g. refill, reuse, zero waste)
    •  Energy or emissions reduction
    •  Natural/organic/renewable materials
    •  Circular economy model (repair, reuse, recycle)
    •  Sustainability education or awareness
  •  Ethical Practices
▸ No known environmental or human rights violations
▸ Compliance with environmental and labor laws
▸ Fair treatment of workers (own staff and supply chain)

🟡 Recommended Criteria (Not Required, but Strongly Encouraged)

✔️ Tick any that apply for improved ranking and visibility:

  •  Third-Party Certification(s) (attach evidence)
▸ Examples: B Corp, Fairtrade, FSC, GOTS, EU Organic, ClimatePartner, OEKO-TEX, etc.
  •  Eco-Conscious Packaging
▸ Uses compostable, biodegradable, reusable, or plastic-free materials
▸ Avoids unnecessary or single-use packaging

▸ Engaged in environmental initiatives (cleanups, donations, education, etc.)

❌ Disqualifying Factors (Not Allowed)

🚫 If any of these apply, listing will be rejected:

  •  Uses vague or unverified green claims (“natural,” “eco,” etc.) with no proof
  •  Practices known greenwashing (highlighting one sustainable feature to hide bigger harms)
  • Sells or profits primarily from:
    • Fossil fuels
    • Fast fashion
    • Non-recyclable single-use plastic
  •  Multi-level marketing (MLM) business with no sustainability controls
  •  Drop-shipping model with unknown or high-impact suppliers
