BOPA (biaxially oriented polyamide, or nylon) film is a tough, clear film used as the core layer in flexible packaging where puncture resistance and flex crack resistance matter. It is supplied in roll form with protective wrapping, and slit width and core size are agreed per order. Combined with a thin sealing layer, BOPA lets a two-layer structure replace heavier multi-material laminates and keep the pack within one polymer family where collection schemes allow, while its strength per unit weight lets packs be downgauged without losing mechanical protection. Typical uses include vacuum and retort pouches, frozen food bags, and protective packaging for sharp or irregular contents. Technical data and available gauges are provided on request.
